The pendants are intuitive carvings that rose from my communing with the material and the sacred silence. They are prayers, invocations for connecting with love, wisdom, compassion, strength, courage, beauty and balance.

The fossil walrus ivory comes from St. Lawrence Island, Alaska. It is very old, perhaps as old as mankind's artistic impulse itself. The color is from minerals that have leached into it over time. I have great reverence for the material. It is very hard, feels wonderful, and can hold fine details. Traditionally, the Eskimos used it for tools, toys, and sacred art. It is a legal material.
