Naomi Kasumi

Seattle, Washington

Naomi Kasumi has worked largely as an installation artist but fell in love with artists¡¯ books when living in New York and began learning book arts in 1998 with Nancy Pobanz at the University of Oregon. She enjoys the multiple dimensions of books and tends to work with memories, particularly secrets. Book binding is a ritual and a meditation that she finds necessary to her creative life.
