Jill Timm received her MFA in computer Graphic Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology and worked as a professional multimedia and graphic designer for IBM before moving into book design and book arts. She established her press Mystical Places in 1998 and is now a full time book artist, focusing on small editions of handcrafted books that portray the spirit and aesthetics of the natural environment. She is the recipient of the 2004 Distinguished Book Award from the International Miniature Book Society, and her work is included in university, public and private collections in the United States and Canada.
