Jill Timm Mystical Places Press Wenatchee, WA Jill Timm received her MFA in computer Graphic Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology and worked as a professional multimedia and graphic designer for IBM before moving into book design and book arts. She established her press Mystical Places in 1998 and is now a full time book artist, focusing on small editions of handcrafted books that portray the spirit and aesthetics of the natural environment. She is the recipient of the 2004 Distinguished Book Award from the International Miniature Book Society, and her work is included in university, public and private collections in the United States and Canada. Forest Fern Edition of 25 Hand pulled serigraph on archival printmaking paper in a “flag book” structure; housed in a dual-tone clamshell box: 2.5 x 7.5 inches. Winter Elk Edition of 50 Photographic tunnel book with 3D scene of original photographs of wild elk; archival paper and inks used in Giclee digital printing process and bound in black book cloth: 5 x 7.5 inches. Butterflies Fly Edition of 100 Three alternating signatures of multi-hued paper with postage stamps sewn on an accordion-folded center; housed in a paper slip case with thermal embossed butterflies and outer hard cloth covered case.
