Description

Grief left me scattered, exhausted, scattered, drained and out of balance — shaken both by the loss of my husband and by the heaviness of the world around me. I returned to my lifelong love of stitching and textiles, searching not for perfection, but for peace.

There were no rules, no patterns, no measuring, no expectations. No judgment, deadlines, or pressure. Just the quiet rhythm of needle and thread, one stitch at a time.

In those hours of making, I was free to reflect, cry, laugh, heal, and remember. Fabric, thread, beads, and tiny treasures became a language for everything I could not put into words.

Over the course of a year, I created 350 “itty bitties,” each one a small act of mending. Together, they slowly stitched me back together too.
